Where Is It?
This year, the Summer of Sonic will be located in The Boiler House at the unique Truman Brewery venue in Brick Lane. The venue is a short walk away from both London Liverpool Street and (even closer) Aldgate East on the London Underground – any hotels or overnight stays you have planned in advance for this convention will simply be a short train journey away.
There is a small parking area right next door to the venue, but it’s Pay and Display and you may not be guaranteed a space so bear this in mind!

Obviously, it’ll look more Sonic-esque (and better) on the
day.
The Boiler House is but one of many different sites at Truman Brewery, and with its distinctive chimney and blank canvas appeal it was the clear choice for the SOS organisers this year. The room can hold roughly 500 people, and comes with ramps for accessibility and even an outdoors area for fresh air. Let’s hope we have a real sunny day, so Sonic can host a barbecue perhaps! Or maybe we’ll have some very appropriate food stalls that you can grab some lunch from… Want some chocolate?
We’ve included a map below of the location of Summer of Sonic 2009. Be sure to print this page off, or otherwise make a note of it so you don’t get lost – Brick Lane is a long road! If you want to arrange your own map for whatever reason, here’s the address of the Truman Brewery:
91 Brick Lane
London E1 6QL
